Background

Athletique is a privately owned business, headquarted in the Chicago Suburbs with manufacturing in both Chicago and Thailand. We provide classic clothing, sportswear and athleticwear to individual consumers, teams and organizations through our website and through independent consultants.

In addition, by selling our products at wholesale prices through our Retail Partner Program, we provide retailers the opportunity to sell our designs custom made or in standard sizes.

Management
Terry Peters Cawley
President/CEO

Terry brings 30 years experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Operations in the fashion, retail, business to business and technology segments. She began in fashion and retail with the Higbee’s Department Store chain as a young adult. Upon graduation, she spent a number of years in various positions with major companies. Throughout her career, she started up new businesses and expanded domestic businesses into global markets. Terry holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Baldwin Wallace College with a double major in Math and Psychology and a minor in Science. She also holds a Master of Science Degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Operations and Technology Management. By starting up Athletique, she has truly come full circle back to her roots, combining her knowledge of fashion and design with her experience in business development. Terry is also a principal in the consulting firm, Zorich Technical Consulting and Publishing (ZTC).

Athlete Designers
Jaime Clark

Jaime is currently a member of the Chicago Bandits National Pro Fastpitch Team expansion team. Jaime was a member of the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team that captured a gold medal in Athens. In college, Jaime led the University of Washington to four College World Series appearances from 2000 to 2003. She was also a three time member of NFCA All American teams, including 2002 when she batted .431 with 59 runs, 14 doubles, 19 home runs and led the nation with 75 RBI’s. Jaime worked with Athletique to develop the JClark Collection of Warm-up suits. She brings with her classic Southern California Style combined with an athlete’s perspective on athleticwear.


Davonna Carr

Davonna Carr, a graduate of the Iowa State University’s School of Apparel Merchandising, Design and Production (AMDP) has joined Athletique to assist in the company’s development of its new sportswear and teamwear lines. Prior to joining Athletique, Davonna worked for Marie Marie Clothing in New York and worked with Wynning Teams LLC to design the dance team uniforms for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Rush.

While at Iowa State University, Davonna was the recipient of the Multi-Visual Program Scholarship and the Charles Lovelady Scholarship. Actively involved in sports, Davonna was a member of the ISU Track and Field Team and was the Co-Captain of the Varsity Basketball and Track teams at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines as well as Co-Captain of the Dance Squad and DeJaVu Dance Team. The first DCarr styles being introduced are the Racing and Elite Team jackets for Men and Women.

Advisory Board
Joel Goldhar
Professor, Illinois Institute of Technology, Stuart Graduate School of Business

Professor Goldhar teaches business policy, operations and technology management, strategy and competitive analysis. He served as the director of the Manufacturing Studies Board at the National Research Council in Washington D.C., and with the National Science Foundation. He has published research in computer-integrated manufacturing and the impact of technology on business strategy. He is currently a member of the R&D Council of the American Management Association and serves on the editorial boards of several research publications. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MBA from Harvard University and a DBA from George Washington University.


James J. Peters
Entrepreneur, Consultant

Upon graduation from college, Jim enjoyed a successful, award winning career in sales, working for Xerox, Johnson and Johnson and Creative Computing Company. He then started up, grew and eventually sold his own computer consulting firm, Adams Reynolds. After taking early retirement and spending time with his wife raising his four young children, he has returned to work as a consultant, working with a number of businesses on start up, turnaround and growth acceleration initiatives. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Marketing and Media Communications from Baldwin Wallace College and a certificate from the OPM Program at Harvard University.


John Reynolds
Entrepreneur, Consultant

John is a seasoned veteran in the areas of corporate development and HR initiatives. He has held numerous positions with several for profit and non-profit organizations including Prudential Insurance Company, Noble Lowndes and Life Instructors Inc. He is active on a number of boards and works as a consultant, editor and author, specializing in employee benefits, financial planning and managed care. John holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in Economics from West Virginia University and a Law degree from Rutgers University.

Cathryn Taylor
Consultant

Known for her broad knowledge of global retailing, finance, real estate and management, Cathryn has over 20 years experience both as a consultant and direct employee for such companies as Price Waterhouse, Deloitte and Touche, Amoco (now BP), Cartier, The Disney Store, Moo and Oink and Sheridan Textiles. Cathryn holds two Bachelor of Science Degrees from the University of Utah in Accounting and Management, a certificate from Institut Superieur des Affaires in France and an MBA from the Wharton School of Management. Cathryn is also a Certified Public Accountant.

John N. Zorich, Jr.
Consultant, Auditor

John has over 20 years experience in Quality Systems, R&D, manufacturing, product support, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Regulatory Affairs. After working directly for companies for a number of years, he launched his own consulting practice, providing auditing and consulting services both directly and through a third party auditing firm. In addition to consulting, John works as a teacher and trainer and is a member of the workshop faculty of Silicone Valley Technical Institute, American Society for Quality and Ohlone Junior College. John holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Botany from the University of California and has been an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer since 1996.
